    • Council certificate demonstrating the building units meet the legal requirements or the construction project and the alterations approved by the Municipal Council – detailing the value of the building and proportion of unit 

  • Testaments

    - Documents

    • Identification documents of the testifier and the two witnesses
    • Documents for the legated assets 
  • Translations

    We translate documents:

    • from English to Portuguese; 
    • from Portuguese to English; 
    • from French to Portuguese; 
    • from Portuguese to French; 
    • from Spanish to Portuguese.

    As the translation is carried out directly by the Notary Office, there is no need to certify the translation (in contrast to the situation of translations made by a private citizen or translation agency).

  • Certified copies

    We take a photocopy of the original document that you present to us and certify the copy is in accordance with the original so that it holds the same value.


  • Power of Attorney

    Powers of Attorney may be made in any of the following forms:


    - Certification of Letters and Signatures 

    • The client writes the text in front of a Notary Office member of staff.
    • On finishing, the staff member recognises the handwriting and the signature (proof that it was the client that wrote and signed the document). 


    - Validation

    • The client brings the Power of Attorney already written (by hand or by machine) and the Notary Office staff member makes a declaration validating that document (hence, the client declares his/her understanding of the content of the power of attorney and that this reflects their respective intentions). 
    • The clients signs the form and the power of attorney in front of a staff member.  

    - Instrument

    • The notary writes out the power of attorney in accordance with the client’s respective instructions. 
    • The client then only signs or fingerprints the power of attorney.


  • Certificate of facts

    Examples of certificates of facts:

    • Certificates of life and identity 
    • Certificates of sending or receipt of messages (via WhatsApp, SMS, msn, Instagram, e-mail, among others)
    • Certificate of performance of a position 
    • Certificate of the contents of a safe
    • Certificate of the contents of a property
    • Certificate of a de facto union
    • Certificate of the usage of various names 
    • Certificate of not completing a deed registration scheduled for a particular time and date due to a reason attributable to one of the parties 
  • Recognition of handwriting and signature

    Clients bring us their duly completed document and their respective means of identification and signs or writes in our presence. The Notary Office staff member then recognises the signature or the handwriting and the signature.

  • Online company

    This enables the setting up of private limited liability companies, limited liability companies by a sole owner and public limited companies
